Subtle Enhancements, for Big Impact

For many years, hair loss solutions have been limited to expensive, painful and often unsuccessful hair transplants, medications and hair systems.
SMP is changing the game for those suffering from hair loss and aims to bring restored confidence to those that choose this treatment.

This specialised cosmetic tattoo procedure involves implanting pigment into the dermis on the scalp to create the illusion of hair follicles.

With little to no down time, SMP is done over a series of sessions, where Becs is able to address your concerns. Whether you are looking to restore or create a hairline, conceal pattern baldness, cover scars or failed transplant areas or just give the illusion of thicker hair, this non surgical procedure is safe, and suitable for all skin types and stages of hair loss.

Typically SMP will last 3-5 years before a touch up is required to address gradual fading of the impressions.

The procedure can provide a natural-looking hairline and the appearance of a closely shaved head, making it a popular choice for those seeking a solution to hair loss or wanting to enhance their hairstyle.

SMP Treatments

  • Creating the illusion of hair density

Scalp Pigmentation can create the illusion of hair density by closely mimicking the appearance of hair follicles. This can help to create the appearance of fuller hair, even in areas where hair is thinning.

  • For areas of baldness

SMP can be used to cover bald patches and create the appearance of a full head of hair. This is particularly useful for people with alopecia areata, which causes patchy hair loss.

  • The ultimate illusion of hair

SMP for hair loss density is ideal for individuals experiencing various types of hair loss, including pattern baldness, thinning hair, and diffuse thinning. The treatment can effectively enhance the appearance of both short and long hairstyles, making it versatile for different preferences and hair types.

 FAQs

  • Individual results vary depending on your lifestyle, after care and general scalp health, however you can expect adequate retention of pigment for 3-5 years before requiring a maintenance session for any fading.

  • SMP can be used to address all types of hair loss including thinning, pattern baldness, alopecia, receding hairlines and loss of density.

  • Absolutely. We colour match your treatment to your natural hair follicle. If you dye your hair regularly we can discuss the best approach for your colour choice. We specialise in a natural finish, so if you are starting to grey, we can work with you to achieve a salt and pepper finish too.

  • Depending on your level of hair loss, we will advise the best course of treatment for you. Everyone is different, but on average most clients will see us for 3-4 sessions to achieve desired result.

  • As with all cosmetic tattoo procedures, there can be a level of discomfort in certain areas. As Becs works by appointment, she likes to stagger the session and ensure you are given breaks should you need them. Feedback is that this treatment is less painful than traditional tattoos.

  • You can expect mild redness to the scalp for the first day after your treatment. Depending on the size of the treatment area, there may be some slight swelling. Severe complications are rare, however we discuss at length any health or allergy issues before we begin.

  • Each client is different, and the overall cost of the treatment will depend on the degree of hair loss we are trying to address. You will receive a complete quote at time of your consultation.
